Even though this is the third installment of the Memory Bead posts, I’ve become increasingly fond of polymer clay and what I can do with it (you bet I’ve got some stuff up my sleeves coming soon….) and this won’t be the last time you see something made from it. I’m particularly excited about this bracelet I have in mind to make, as well as some other forms of memory keeping….but that’s for another post in the future! Today, it’s about the Memory Beads I had made previously, and what I made with them!
First up, I’ll show you what I made with the Pearl Ex covered beads. It’s a simple black, white and silver bracelet. What’s extra cool about this bracelet, besides the fact that I made some of the beads myself, is that I’ve put some magnetic beads on this bracelet which help with blood circulation, and have been proven to also help with swelling and pain, insomnia, migraines, arthritis, and a lot of other medical things as well. And they look awesome! If you like it, let me know, I’ll make you one….but this one has my mommy’s name on it 🙂
The next bracelet is made from the Memory Beads I made out of my red tulips. This one I’ve been wearing recently, and really like. I made the beads a bit chunky, which is unlike me, but it was my first time making the beads, and I ended up really liking the chunky look.
I know some of you are thinking…”Why didn’t she go with gold instead of silver?” Well, I’ll tell you….I like silver. Simple as that, lol. However, gold accent beads would have been pretty with this bracelet as well, but I was plum out of gold beads when I made this. Besides, I’m a silver girl, lol.
And lastly, I made a necklace with the Memory Beads from the yellow tulips. This is a little different taste for me to wear, but it turned out really pretty, and the hubs liked it, so that must mean it’s nice!!
There you have it folks. My first experiment with making Memory Beads. Remember these beads make a beautiful gift for someone who wishes to remember something special or significant, or the loss of a loved one.
