Fun stuff I learned….Part 1 May 12, 2011

Ok….so one of the cool things I learned at Mega Meet from my friend Jessica and her class, was about this product called Starburst Stains from Lindy’s Stamp Gang. Basically you get this bottle of chemical powder from them and add water and you have an iridescent stamper/dabber thing! I made a card for my mom using the Penguin stamp from Earth Art International (www.earthartinternational.com), purple paper (cuz that’s our favorite color πŸ™‚ ), and the Starburst Stains. Here are the pictures of how I put the card together.

Favorite quote from Jessica about this stuff….”Be violent with it!” ….so go ahead and make a mess people!! Plus it’s more fun that way! The liquid takes a little bit to dry, but it won’t look all funky like that when it does dry.

As you can see, I was a little impatient. I put it on my card before it was completely dry…but you can start to see the iridescent look.

Here’s the penguin stamped onto a light purple paper. I know I’ve said it before, but these stamps are AWESOME! Not only are they an animal, but they have animals and other images within them.

And yes, my stamping of letters weren’t very skilled this time….but my Mommy still loves me πŸ™‚ And she liked her card, too! And the first thing she asked me about was the paper I used with the iridescent look to it. We Moore girls love our paper. You might call us paper horders (or other scrapbooking terms…right Kellie?? πŸ™‚ ) And we have drawers, dividers, and organizers to prove it! lol

Look for some other stuff coming up from what I learned at Mega Meet this year. But next up is a super neat bracelet I’ve had in my head for months, and finally got to make!!!!
